Norwex has made the news, yet again!
Norwex Scientific Review
Fisher designed a scientific test in which several dozen sterile petri dishes were contaminated with e-coli bacteria.
Several dishes were treated with a paper towel sprayed with a leading all-purpose cleaner. Others petri dishes were cleaned with a generic microfiber towel soaked… Continue reading
When Deja sent me some Norwex samples to review, I was most excited to try the Makeup Removal cloths. She claimed that these cloths would remove makeup with just water, which might have been the most ridiculous thing I’d ever heard. As someone who has spent a small fortune trying to find a face wash that removes dirt and makeup without a bunch of harsh chemicals that dry out my skin or leave an oil slick,… Continue reading
Laundry might be my least favorite chore. With four kids, you can probably understand why. I’ve also never been a huge fan of the smell of laundry detergent, and I’m mildly worried about the wear-and-tear it caused on my clothes and how the ingredients affected my skin. I know detergents like Tide Ultra Powder Detergent and other brands are supposed to help prolong the life of your clothes, but when the Environmental Working Group rates Tide with a big fat… Continue reading
Norwex has a whole line of bath & body microfiber, and the most popular (and my personal favorites) would have to be the Norwex face cloths – the Body Pack Cloths & the Makeup Removal Cloths. You can read my reviews of them here, and here, but in a nutshell, these cloths completely clean & exfoliate your skin with JUST WATER – no soaps or cleansers needed.
I often get emails from customers asking, “So, what’s… Continue reading
Today’s post in our “Use This, Not That” series is going skin deep. That’s right, we’re talking about face wash – particularly the ever-so-popular Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash – rated HIGH on the Environmental Working Group’s health concern list – and how to keep your skin fresh and clean without coating it in chemicals.
This post kicks off a new series here on the Healthy Home Cleaning blog – “Use This Not That!” I’m going to be tackling a list of some of the most dangerous household cleaners (found here) and giving a rundown on everything you need to know about the harsh chemicals in them, along with information on which Norwex product will do the same job safely and efficiently. How’s that sound? Good? Good!
Today’s dangerous cleaning product I am tackling… Continue reading
What are they? The Norwex Spirinetts are the most AMAZING scrubbers that you will ever find, and despite their small size, they can tackle even the biggest “stuck on” jobs! They come in packs of 2, and will amaze you with what they can clean!
I finally got around to trying the Norwex Odour Eliminator, and it has quickly become one of my favorite Norwex products. This stuff is biodegradable, and chemical-free. It’s enzyme-based, and the “critters” in it eat through the bacteria that causes organic odours. Odour Eliminator removes organic smells instantly, safely and without toxic chemicals.
The first place I tried Odour Eliminator was in my young son’s plastic toy chest, where I’ve… Continue reading
Norwex Mattress Cleaner is designed to remove organic material from mattresses, bedding and fabric furniture. It will neutralize and eliminate unpleasant organic odours and get rid of dust mites!
- Gets rid of dust mites and their feces (VERY allergy-causing in many people – snoring, coughing, etc.) and can eliminate allergic reactions
- Gets rid of urine smell and staining (extremely well)
- Only product on the market for elimination and removal of all… Continue reading
The Norwex Carpet Stain Buster was introduced in summer 2007, and wow, does it ever work!
It’s meant to remove organic matter, and it “eats” through red wine, baby stains, sick kid stains, urine stains, and anything other protein-based stain you can think of. You can literally watch it happen! It works where chemical cleaning solutions fail, and is truly amazing. Listen to this customers experience with the Carpet… Continue reading
I’m not the only one who loves this product – the Norwex Face Cloths (Body Pack) clean and exfoliate your skin, and all you need is water.
I recently got this email from a blog reader:
“I was just reading your webpage of product reviews. I was kind of shocked that you didn’t review the “body pack” or the “baby body pack”. These cloths are the ONLY thing I use on my skin (except for sunblock), and I’ve… Continue reading
Q: Does Norwex Oven Cleaner work?
A: “YES” – here’s my story.
It’s unfortunate, but these pictures don’t really do justice to the disgusting state of my oven before the cleaning….the camera just wouldn’t capture the full grossness of it.
This oven is older than me (I think it’s a 1960′s model), and obviously doesn’t have the “self-cleaning” feature of the newer models. I’m… Continue reading
The Norwex Mop – Is it worth the price?
I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this yet, but I really don’t like cleaning. Hate it actually.
Probably one of my least favorite jobs in the house is cleaning the floors. One reason is because it’s such a BIG job – such a large expanse of space with so many obstacles… it’s daunting. It also feels futile. I sweep, and there are still crumbs and hair where I just swept. … Continue reading
★ ★ ★ ★ ★… Here we have another 5 star Norwex Product!
Norwex Cleaning Paste – INGREDIENTS:
- Marble Flour
- Natural Soap
- Traces of Coconut Oil
… the Cleaning Paste ingredient list is one of the many reasons why I love it. It only has 4 ingredients, and I can pronounce them all! I also know that the ingredients were not manufactured in a chemist lab, but come from natural sources.
IN A NUTSHELL:
I LOVE the… Continue reading
The Norwex Bathroom Scrub Mitt is quickly becoming one of my FAVORITE Norwex products, and although it’s name doesn’t indicate it, this little mitt works all over the house, not just in the bathroom.
The Norwex Bathroom Scrub Mitt is a hybrid of the Norwex Dusting Mitt and the Norwex Kitchen Scrub Cloth, in the form of a mitt – a PERFECT solution for quick and efficient cleaning.
The Norwex Dusting Mitt claims to make dusting your house easy, healthy, and affordable. Is this really true? If you already have the Norwex Enviro Cloth, do you REALLY need to purchase the Norwex Dusting Mitt, or is it just gimmicky… a cloth in the shape of a mitt?
In a Nutshell
I LOVE this product, and no, it’s definitely not a gimmick.
Whether you currently use fabric softener, dryer sheets, or nothing at al in your dryer, you need Norwex dryer balls!
These little guys cost a minimal amount, replace all forms of fabric softener, and generally last 3-5 years. They are made from a rubbery-feeling plastic (like a dog’s squeaky toy) and can be used on all fabrics. Their job is to reduce drying time and to soften fabrics naturally without the use of chemical fabric softeners. Norwex describes their… Continue reading
Norwex DeScaler is the absolute best thing I’ve found for soap scum and limescale removal.
It easily removes the “yuck” on shower doors, bathroom taps and other places where soap scum and lime and rust are a problem.
This stuff is enzyme based – free of hazardous chemicals and enviro friendly. The enzymes in the DeScaler actually eat the soap scum! I just spray it on, wait 5 -10 minutes, and wipe off with my wet Antibac Cloth. It’s incredible.… Continue reading
I had a smelly, stinky problem: my front load washing machine smelled HORRIBLE!
Every time I would open the machine door, it was like someone stuck an old, dirty, bacteria-laden, moldy dish cloth in my face….that’s what the inside tub of the washer smelled like, and that’s what my clothes would smell like when they were finished being washed.
It was pretty gross.
We purchased our front load washing machine just before our second little one was born. Being the… Continue reading
